Job Description Summary
Under the limited supervision of the Operations Manager, the incumbents would supervise a team of shuttle drivers, ensuring that all fleet operations missions are completed in a safe and timely fashion. The Shuttle Operations Assistants would work collaboratively with other leaders of the Fleet Operations team to ensure that all routes are covered, and all service expectations are met.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
  • 25% - Generate and publish for the patient and campus shuttle schedules. Monitors road conditions, driver and vehicle performance. Utilize GPS system to assign drivers to their assigned vehicles and routes. When conditions warrant, direct drivers on route, to change assignments, timing or stop locations as needed to ensure effective and efficient route and run coverage.

  • 20% - Works with UTS Leadership and the Emergency Management team to ensure adequate levels of driver support for appropriate response to road closures, medical emergencies, weather emergencies, evacuations, and support to community agencies. Be prepared to fill in for drivers in support of all fleet operations teams in the event of emergencies or callouts.
  • 20% - Oversees and maintains accuracy and compliance with all required paperwork and execution of all shuttle missions. This includes, but is not limited to: vehicle count sheets, mileage logs, missed run logs, and vehicle cleaning and fueling logs.
  • 10% - Perform basic administrative functions for the shuttle operations and perform other assigned duties in support of the departments mission


MUSC Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:

A high school diploma andtwo yearsrelevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience. A Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement is required.
