How You'll Perform the Role

This role is responsible for handling general laborer duties for the plant including operating the baler for shift waste, delivering inks to the preprint department, and ensuring paste is being prepared to the specifications with minimal waste.This includes (not inclusive list): • Safely executing daily job activities including, but not limited to, 1) completing pre-shift truck inspections, 2) performing lockout/tagout for baler equipment, and 3) following confined space procedure for entering the baler pit area.• Safely operating Forklift equipment (ability to maintain FL certification)• Travel from machine to machine, taking the finished product and stacking it on pallets in the correct pattern.• Pull carts from paper production area and bring to baler. Weigh all waste per procedure.• Properly sort waste into proper waste streams.• Empty all trash bins throughout shift as necessary.• Complete daily waste reports.• Deliver ink to presses, reading schedule, getting ink out of barrels or off shelves, and stocking machines per schedule.• Removed accumulated debris within caged area.• Meet/achieve production goals set forth by management.• Safely perform all required tasks, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.• Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toe shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required. • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

What We Need From You

• High school diploma, GED, or applicable work experience• Preferred but not required, 1-year previous experience operating a forklift, attachments, and hoists.• Previous Manufacturing experience is desired• Must have basic PC knowledge.• Must have basic reading, math, and communication skills.
