To assist with compliance analysis, review, monitoring, or audits of various aspects of functions performed at UAB, prioritized through University-wide risk assessments or based on emerging regulations, enforcement areas or areas of concern. To provide support with other risk and compliance projects as deemed appropriate. To maintain detailed documentation of information gathered during reviews and periodic inventories when and where warranted. To assist with educational programs for University staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Conducts compliance reviews, monitoring, or audits on behalf of the University in accordance with
established time frames or when the need arises.
2. Assists with risk assessments and development and implementation of a risk and compliance
monitoring and auditing plan for routine monitoring and auditing.
3. Maintains detailed documentation related to assigned projects.
4. Participates in analysis of regulatory and university standards and processes, as assigned.
5. Assists with development and implementation of general compliance training and educational
programs, both in person and online.
6. May serve as Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Insider Threat Program Security Officer (ITPSO).
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range: $70,425 - $114,440

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Risk or compliance certification from the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics (SCCE) or Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) preferred. For assignment as Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Insider Threat Program Security Officer (ITPSO) through an official Letter of Appointment from the University President, candidate must complete required training, at the University s current Facility Clearance level, and be certified to use Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) portals Defense Information Security System (DISS), National Industrial Security System (NISS) and Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT).
