Job Description Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Instructional Technology in the Office of Instructional Technology and Faculty Resources, the Instructional Design & Technology Support Assistant will provide administrative support of continuing education efforts as well as all central instructional technologies. This part-time internship position plays a pivotal role in maintaining and troubleshooting MUSC’s Learning Management System, D2L Brightspace, as well as various other instructional technologies such as Poll Everywhere, H5P, and FeedbackFruits. In addition to technical support, the role involves contributing to instructional design projects and providing general assistance to our team.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a master’s degree in education or a related field to gain hands-on experience in educational technology and instructional design in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Job Description

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for instructional technologies such as Brightspace, Poll Everywhere, H5P, FeedbackFruits and other central technologies.
• Assist faculty, staff, and students with resolving issues related to instructional technologies.
• Collaborate with the Instructional Design and Technology team on various instructional design projects.
• Develop and update instructional materials and resources.
• Respond to support tickets and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and user guides for instructional technologies.
• Assist with the implementation and testing of new instructional tools and technologies.
• Provide general administrative support to the Instructional Design and Technology team as needed.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology.
