This position reports to

Business Health, Safety & Env Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain. You will be mainly accountable for: • Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions. • Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks. • Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB. • Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred.
  • 5-8 Years experience of progressive Field Service experience preferred
  • Qualified at least to ABB's ECAP Level 3, with potential to become Level 4
  • Operational experience in electrical field work similar to that done as a Field Service Engineer or in another relevant capacity.
  • Business travel required at least 50% of time
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
