The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

Responsibilities

The User Insights Manager will be responsible for building a user insights function that supports the velocity and accuracy of business and safety decisions. We're looking for a User Insights Manager to come in and help us develop a user - safety - centric culture within the Safety Support Team. You will be part of a global team whose mission is to bring the voice of the user to Trust and Safety and leverage user experience to build safety.

This role will help in developing, building, launching and scaling products that meet safety and users' needs. It will cover the wide gamut of business and safety insights in particular, including VOC, ad-hoc user analysis, trends extraction, data interpretation and insights generation. This highly visible and influential role will collaborate extensively with leadership, business stakeholders, internal operations and cross-functional teams.

- User insights & analysis - you'll represent the voice of the user; provide market analysis, build standardized personas and use cases, identify safety trends. Lead qualitative and quantitative analysis, deliver insights, and influence Safety Support team decision making through understanding of user behavior and the safety ecosystem.
- Build and prototype analysis pipelines and devise actionable strategies from user insights for the Safety Support team.
- Leverage user feedback and insights to identify and forecast trends to drive safety initiatives and create a good ecosystem for content creators and users.
- Bring the user's perspective to Trust and Safety decision-making by executing market analysis and research activities to provide insights and recommendations.
- Design and analyze experiments to inform and influence safety features and products.
- Measurement - you'll ensure data and insights are part of our product approach, creating upfront learning plans, measurement mechanisms and feedback loops for relevant teams, so results and learnings are actionable to drive decisions across the Trust and Safety departments.
- Acquire new data from various production systems and databases.
- Storyteller & Strategist - communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders at all levels. Work closely with product people, senior leadership, project and operations teams.
- Generate actionable user insights for safety product features as well as trends and communicate to diverse audiences through effective written documents and presentations.
- Support regional and global leadership by taking research insights and putting together compelling narratives with actionable recommendations that meet business and safety needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years in user research, data science, strategist, data analytics, product analytics role (s).
- Experience with qualitative / quantitative / competitive research in all stages of the process (scoping a research process, conducting in-context interviews, performing research, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in utilizing SQL/Python to extract, manipulate, and analyze datasets.
- Experience with creating data visualizations.
- Experience generating user insights and converting them into business impact.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in Trust & Safety, investigations, compliance, or risk management would be advantageous (preferably as part of a global workforce).
- Passion for social technology products and a curiosity to learn and grow with a fast-paced company.
