Koniag Operations Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Utility Cleaner to support KOS and our government customer in Denver Federal Center Lakewood, CO. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a union position currently paying $20.75 an hr. All benefits are through the CBA.

Our custodial staff is responsible for keeping an office building clean and orderly. Job duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Cleaning of entrances, lobbies, corridors, offices, conference rooms, work areas, floor surfaces, restrooms, locker rooms, shower stalls, water fountains, utility sinks, etc.
  • Maintain the appearance of exterior grounds, parking lots, loading docks, and sidewalks
  • Emptying wastebaskets/ and trash receptacles
  • Dusting of high and low surfaces, including overhead lights and pictures, and using cleaning products to clean or polish soiled surfaces
  • Vacuuming carpets and light spot removal duties
  • Washing windows and glass cleaning
  • Capable of performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, and washing walls
  • Capable of operating heavy cleaning equipment

Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Prefer high school diploma or GED and 0-2 years' experience.
  • Work well with our cooperative and motivated cleaning staff
  • Follow detailed cleaning instructions and learn troubleshooting skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Capable of working with a team or independently to achieve departmental goals, including multitasking skills
  • Must be available for occasional weekend work.
  • Full-time Night shift available
  • Part-time night shifts available
  • Must be dependable, hardworking, conscientious, and cooperative. Able to obtain a Public Trust

Working Environment & Conditions
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position, and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to physically perform the tasks for custodial or janitorial work, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to produce an eye for detailed cleaning functions.
