Utility Operator - Summer Help

7am- 3pm, Monday-Friday

$18/hour

Your role:

As a Utility Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the sanitation and cleanliness of sections of the facility and learning the basics of flour milling. People who successfully adapt to the work environment, job duties and safety culture of Ardent Mills will be considered for promotion into other roles as they become available in the grain elevator, bulk department or mill. This work requires physical exertion, the ability to learn and follow work instructions, a good safety sense, the willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver, and a strong sense of personal accountability for all of these areas.

Your responsibilities:

• Routine cleaning of floors, equipment and outside grounds.
• Follow personnel and equipment safety policies, food safety policies, and sanitation procedures.

Essential skills and experience:

• Proficient in English both written and verbally.

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in an environment that contains dust and wear respiratory protection.
• Ascend and descend stairs throughout the facility.
• Able to climb step and extension ladders.
• Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment.

Other considerations:

• Must be willing to accept accountability and work well in a team.
• Must be willing and able to work some weekends.

In the Summer Relief role you will be responsible for backfilling fulltime employees in a variety of positions during the summer months. This is a fulltime position for the summer season in either a warehouse, packing, milling or elevator position.

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
