Come help the AWS Marketplace and Amazon Partner Network teams reinvent the way software is discovered, deployed, bought, and sold in the cloud! AWS Marketplace is the software "app store" for AWS Enterprise and Small Business customers and we're looking for a UX Designer to help us re-envision the Marketplace experience and help execute our next wave of Innovations. We're a customer-obsessed team with a wide UX surface area. We are seeking a team member who is passionate, self-motivated, curious and who wants to collaborate to deliver great experiences in order to continue transforming one of the world's largest industries.

As a UX Designer for AWS Marketplace, you will lead, define and drive the experience for our customers all over the world. You will be responsible for thinking big to develop innovative solutions to improve the Marketplace in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment. You will also work closely with engineering, product management, marketing, company leaders, and our customers to successfully go from early stage concepts to launch. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. You are a thoughtful, dedicated and a creative self-starter with industry experience in shipping compelling user experiences to millions of customers.

Key job responsibilities

- Create the vision for designing, communicating and implementing the user experience for multiple products for buyers and sellers of AWS Marketplace across platforms; follow through with the processes and tactics to implement the vision

- Deliver on business and customer outcomes using design artifacts spanning both high and low fidelity to drive consensus around the optimal user experience

- Oversee development of detailed user-interface specifications, guidelines and pattern libraries

- Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors

- Analyze customer problems to create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements

- Consider market analysis, customer feedback, technical constraints/opportunities, user research findings and drive data-driven decisions

- Work closely with the Product Management, Engineering, Business Development, and Marketing teams

- Regularly present your work to leaders and executives for review and feedback

- Create UX that balances consistency across all our platforms with mobile and device specific needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of design experience

- 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience

- Have an available online portfolio

- Experience prototyping (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash or Flash Catalyst, or Axure)

- Knowledge of usability principles and techniques

- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of mass-market consumer web / mobile products experience

- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
