Insight Global is hiring for a top research company in Seattle WA. This organization builds and tests technologies that expand possibilities of human connection and collaboration, all working toward the common goal of making AR and VR more accessible for everyone. As a UX Researcher in this org, you will plan, execute, and evangelize user-focused research that contributes to the strategy, product definition, and design of AR/VR technologies. In particular, you will be leading a variety of strategic, evaluative research on peoples first experiences with Meta Quest VR headsets.

Job Responsibilities:
Work closely with designers, PMs, & engineers to identify and action on opportunities where user research can inform product development
Independently and collaboratively execute hands-on, consumer-facing primary research
Manage multiple research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle
Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
Generate insights that both evaluate designs and fuel ideation

Required Skills & Experience

Experience conducting hands-on, consumer-facing research at various phases of the development process
Proficient in evaluative research methodologies: usability testing, concept testing, heuristic evaluation, and in-depth interviewing.
Ability to translate research findings into strategic narratives and actionable recommendations
Bachelors degree & 4+ years of relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development,
Masters degree and 2+ years relevant experience, or a PhD and relevant experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters/PhD in a human behavior related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics
Experience in research for emerging technologies, AR/VR/MR or wearable technology
Experience with 0-1 stage early prototypes
