A LAZ Valet Attendant plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival, and the last person our clients & customers see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance.

What Will I Do?

  • Greet everyone entering the facility and answer questions as needed
    • Provide directions to customers as needed
    • Assist customers with payment of parking services at POFs and Exits
    • Troubleshoot issues at entrances, POFs, and exits
    • Valet vehicles
    • Unblock parked vehicles
  • Perform daily basic cleaning/maintenance to ensure optimal performance of Skidata devices (Once per day)
    • Sanitize all equipment and hi-touch areas daily (Two or three times per shift)
  • Maintain the cleanliness/appearance of the garage on all levels and the surrounding sidewalk (Every half hour)
    • Includes sweeping, moping, garbage collection and disposal, painting/striping, repairing light bulbs, etc.
      • Trash pick-up is Wednesday
        • Dumpster should go out Tuesday night
        • Bring back in Wednesday morning
      • Recycling is Thursday
        • Bins should go out Wednesday night
        • Bring back in Thursday morning
  • Complete required daily reports accurately and efficiently, account for all collected revenues
    • Shift Reports
      • Monthly Payments
      • Validations
      • Double Transactions
      • SPT Fee Groups
      • PTPs, Towing, etc.
      • Report and fill out incident forms & claim forms
    • Bike Utilization
      • Total present at 10am, 2pm, and 8 pm
    • Car Inventory
      • Review Present Tickets
        • Anything over 2 days needs to be verified.
    • POI-PCI / Skimmer Check
      • Check and verify credit card scanners have not been compromised at all devices
    • Ad-hoc reports
  • Navigate Skidata for information in assisting customers
    • Customer Admin
    • Present Tickets (both SPT and Contract)
    • Parking Movements (both SPT and Contract)
    • Insufficient Funds and Pay Insufficient Funds (PTP)
    • CVLP (Replace Lost Ticket)
    • Receipt generation
  • Document all available information regarding incidents
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of customers, colleagues, and property
    • Record victim and witness statements, if available
    • Offer to contact the police
      • Collect the case number
    • Verify whether the event was captured on camera
    • Contact manager
  • Serve as a liaison with all stakeholders of parking operations at the location
  • Monitor operation supplies and inform the manager of needs
    • Notify the manager of required maintenance as needed
  • Answer phones
    • Assist customers in resolving issues in a professional and friendly manner
  • Coordinate with supervisors, colleagues, janitorial, security, and vendors to ensure smooth operations in the manager's absence

You Are:

  • Dynamic. You're charismatic, full of energy, and happy to help in any way you can.
  • Dependable. Responsible is your middle name. You never disappoint because it's not in your nature.
  • Experienced in the hospitality industry (Parking, Restaurants, Hotels, etc).
  • A good driver with a valid driver's license and driving record to prove it. You don't speed, you're cautious - ESPECIALLY with other people's property. You can also drive a standard transmission. Vroom, vroom!
  • Good under pressure. You don't fold and get overwhelmed easily. Instead, you prefer chaos so you can kick its butt.
  • Good at communicating and can speak, read, and comprehend English easily.
  • A team player. You're open to different opinions and can help motivate your team.

Requirements:

  • Must know how to drive a manual transmission
  • Must know how to drive an EV vehicle
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Parking and/or hospitality industry experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements -- heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
