Our client, one of the largest Automobile companies in USA is looking Engine Validation Engineer at Pontiac, MI. The main function of a validation engineer is to lead the analysis, development, and validation subteam process across assigned vehicle programs.

Job title: Enginer Validation Engineer
Location: Pontiac, MI

During their training (first 4 months): All positions will be 1st shift, M-F, 8am-5pm
Post training period: All positions will be 3rd shift, M-F, 10pm-7am

Running 2-3 engines and running through a set validation schedule which is preprogrammed in system, manage and work with the LSTE (Lead System Test Engineer) to decide if it is an appropriate shutdown or should there be further investigation. LSTE is acting a trainer for the validation engineers. Work with the LSTE as a mentor/training getting this person up to speed.

Interaction level with the team - Working side by side with other validation engineers and lab technicians. High level of interaction with others.

Work Site Description - Laboratory Testing Facility, PPE requirements to be on site and access areas of the facility

Job Responsibilities:
• Define vehicle/buck requirements for assigned partitions.
• Lead test hardware reduction process for partitions.
• Take appropriate action on issues, lead recovery plan efforts as necessary.
• Support Supplier Validation process.
• Develop and maintain partition ADV Plan/Schedule.
• Provide ADV partition assessment for PDT/PIT.
• Provide technical leadership across platform groups

Skills:
• Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Lotus Notes or other email communication tools.
• Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of automotive engineering methodology.
• Relevant auto industry experience required.
• Expert knowledge across Testing, Design, Analysis processes.

Must have
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with engine dyno testing required.
