Job Description

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the Assistant Director and Senior Director in their daily project management and team strategy. These responsibilities include developing a team work plan for strategic initiatives, updating team project trackers across internal teams and external payers, and strengthening team written assets including the internal VBP team website.
• Support the Assistant Director in developing Value-Based Payment e-learning modules with the NYC H+H Revenue Cycle Institute. These modules will serve as educational tools to spread awareness to H+H financial and clinical leaders about Value-Based Payment at H+H and its role in financial operations. Intern will have opportunities to attend any meetings of interest and collaborate with staff across H+H Central Office departments.
• Support the Assistant Director in health policy research, providing insights into the health policy landscape and relevant opportunities for value-based payment innovations. Intern will be responsible for monitoring news and policy developments at the Federal and State levels. Intern will also develop a policy tracking tool for the internal VBP team to monitor and track policy at various stages of maturity.
• Internship capstone deliverables will include finalizing one VBP e-Learning module and a policy memo on a strategic opportunity for the VBP team. Both will conclude in a final presentation on to the entire Value-Based Payment team.

This position will have a duration of 4 months.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Students in high school or entering freshman year through the completion of senior year of college.
  • Students must be at least 16 years of age at the time of appointment, and no student may be employed more than half-time during any week when the student is enrolled in classes that are in session. Students may be employed full-time during their vacation periods.
