The RN will implement process changes to improve patient flow and ensure resources are being utilized appropriately. This individual shall work with leaders of other departments to resolve issues related to operational flow. The RN will ensure daily operations are coordinated efficiently. Additionally, this individual will manage and maintain staffing schedule to provide adequate coverage. The Team Lead shall assist with the recruitment process, and to mentor and evaluate current staff. This position may also perform duties as a Vascular Access Nurse, and to be responsible for the insertion of PICC lines for patients. The RN will serve as an expert clinician, role model, consultant, change agent, and facilitator. They serve as a liaison for the physician, nursing staff, and ancillary departments, as well as external agencies for PICC placement. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.Description

  • Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred. Minimum 2 years nursing experience required. Previous vascular ultrasound experience preferred. License / Certification required: Active RN licensure required, BLS required, ACLS required, PICC certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire to role Ability to use computer proficiently Knowledge of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance Knowledge in the proper usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation and document composition Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.? Cope with stressful situations and change Prioritize work tasks Ability to effectively manage time and schedules. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
