Job Summary

Perform peripheral vascular noninvasive testing inclusive of cerebral, venous and arterial systems to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

• Perform peripheral vascular testing inclusive of cerebral, venous and arterial systems. • Assess the condition of inpatients and coordinate their transfer to and from testing procedures. • Explain testing procedures to each patient and obtain a specific history. • Perform inservices and act as an educational resource to staff personnel, medical education students and other health care professionals. Assist with maintaining technical competence of staff by assessing educational needs and recommending educational programs. • Participate in collaboration with Medical Director in research for publication. • Assist in development of policies, procedures and testing protocols. • Evaluate the equipment needs of the department and make recommendations for purchases.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Formalized Training (Required) Education: Formalized Training - Diagnostic Ultrasound or Echo Experience: 1 Year of Vascular Ultrasound Experience Substitutions: 4 Years Vascular Lab OJT May Be Substituted For 2 Years Formalized Training
