GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluates patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulator and compliance guidelines.
  Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures, records patient test results and reports results to physician.
• Monitor patient's comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  Maintain adequate supplies and monitor/verify all equipment is in proper working condition, report deficiencies or failures.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
of Graduate a 2-year allied health program required or two or more years of technical experience required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

3 years of experience preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
One or more of the following:
Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Medical Sonography Tech credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. ARMRIT, ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB required
