Astria Health is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technician to join our team! This position will be a day shift that is scheduled as (4) 10 hour days.

As a Vascular Ultrasound Technician, you will be r esponsible for assisting with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a radiologist, and general clinical duties. You will:

  • Performs non-invasive studies, which include an explanation of procedures to be done and providing physician with necessary information to interpret test results and medical information.
  • Greets and admits patients to Lab. Takes detailed medical history and performs physical examination of cerebrovascular system with proper documentation.
  • Assists in processing charges for non-invasive patients.
  • Maintains and orders vascular Lab supplies which includes keeping equipment properly functioning and adequate monitoring of video tape sequence.
  • Along with staff and physician, notifies patient or referring physician of test results with proper documentation and references.
  • Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family as warranted by standards of practice and department.
  • Assists in the maintenance of non-invasive files and processing photographs, and submitting charges in a timely manner.
  • Initiates and provides necessary follow-up care
  • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.


Requirements

What you bring to the role:

  • Graduate of certified Radiology or Ultrasound program.
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Oral and written fluency in the English language

Pay and Benefit Expectations

Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
