The Amazon Fresh Grocery team is looking for a Vendor Manager to lead multiple facets of an omni-channel retail business (e.g., buying/vendor management, product management, operations, marketing/merchandising) and identify growth opportunities within our Perishables space. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business.
You will have accountability for business results of your product subcategories. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing and growing vendor relationships, expanding product selection and vendor base, leading negotiations, setting category strategy, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements and creating best-in-class customer experiences.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- 3+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
- Experience in: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with presentation, organization, and account/vendor management is preferred
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
