Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Technician
Duties: - Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals - Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and nail trims - Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians - Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures - Proper positioning and safety precautions when assisting with X-rays - Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures - Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals - Maintain accurate medical records
Skills: - Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior - Proficient in handling and restraining animals safely and effectively - Ability to operate veterinary equipment and perform basic laboratory tests - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members - Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
