Animal Medical Clinic in Huntsville, AL is currently accepting applications for a new member to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist. New team members should have proven customer service experience, strong verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented, the ability to learn and retain information on working with a medical program, medical charts, and our protocols all in support of best medicine, and the ability to maintain a calm, courteous and professional demeanor under stressful circumstances, and having a Yes mentality. Receptionists must execute tasks with great attention to detail and thoroughness when reviewing our patients' medical charts. We are passionate about veterinary medicine! We are looking for a candidate that is outgoing and able to provide exceptional customer service to pet parents in our community. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.

The position is full time, 4 days a week, 10 hours days. Scheduled times very from 6:50am. to 5:30pm and 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Our facility is conveniently located on north Research Park Blvd, just south of the Oakwood exit. Our state-of -the-art hospital provides full pet health care services and specializes in rehabilitation services for dogs and cats. We hold ourselves to a higher standard in veterinary medicine and strive to deliver excellent care for pets.

Skills or experience with providing care for animals is a big plus!

Some Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing caring, compassionate service to clients by the telephone or face to face, and being attentive to client and pet needs.

• Check-in clients and monitor client flow from check-in to discharge.

• Accurately process client payments.

• Resolve minor client complaints or refer the problem to a supervisor.

• Help create and maintain accurate, timely medical records.

• Create a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment.

• Communicate clearly with clients, team, and other members of the veterinary community.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

•Manage incoming referrals from other hospitals to our practice.

• Become familiar with our medical record system, including how we store client and patient data, where information is entered, appropriately enter client data and how to schedule all types of appointments.

• Become familiar with our multi line phone system and related policies, including answering incoming calls, placing callers on hold, and taking messages.

• Become familiar with the clinic environment, including proper cleanliness, location of cleaning products, and how the client service area should be maintained.

• Pay range of $11.35-$19.50/hour based on experience
