Bedrock Veterinary Specialists is searching for responsible, dedicated, hardworking and friendly Veterinary Technicians who are interested in being on the ground floor of a progressive and rapidly developing Specialty Surgery Center. If you are an RVT or have equivalent experience who has been specifically trained in surgery or is a quick learner and looking to take the next step in your career, we want to meet you! This position calls for a hard-working technician to directly support our board-certified surgeons. You will be challenged and your compassion, skills, and hard work will be valued and rewarded. Position Skills:
  • Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
  • Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
  • Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
  • Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring.


Position Requirements:
  • Highly competent technical skills
    Strong interpersonal skills to kindly and effectively interface with our team, clients, and referring veterinarian using tact, patience, and a very high level of professional courtesy
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Confident in ability to place IV catheters, blood draws, recover patients from surgery, and administer, monitor, and troubleshoot anesthesia safely.

Desired Qualifications:
RVT, LVT or equivalent experience, we are willing to train highly competent and kind team members to become surgical technicians.
