We currently have an exceptional role for a Vice President of Employee and Labor Relations to manage the medical center's human resources business partner program and labor relation function; including acting as Hearing/Grievance Officer, responding to EEOC complaints, assisting Department Heads in carrying out disciplinary actions and investigations.

Specifically, you will:

Plan, coordinate, and administer policies relating to many phases of human resources activities and programs; conducts research to recommend changes in policies.
Serve as consultant on human resources matters and lead HRBP/Labor team.
Interpret hospital policies and regulations to new employees and supervisory staff.
Initiate policies and procedures necessary to achieve objectives of the Medical Center
Prepare employee and labor relations training manuals and implement training systems.
Investigate causes of complaints and grievances and recommends corrective action;
Select, hire and supervises staff in area of responsibility; initiates disciplinary action, including terminations; annual performance, promotions, raises, etc.
Participate in union negotiations and administration of union contract.
Act as liaison between personnel and management; direct HRBP, employee & labor relations programs.
Respond to various government agencies in potential discrimination suits.

We require:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Administration or related field; Master's required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Employee & Labor Relations, preferably in a unionized medical setting.
Good English verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Healthcare experience strongly preferred
JD preferred
HR Certification a strong plus.
