Description

SAIC is seeking a visionary and experienced executive - Vice President of Surface and Aviation Solutions, with keen business acumen to lead a portfolio of programs in support of NAVSEA and NAVAIR. The successful candidate will be an expert at building relationships and partnerships that enable Navy missions. A proven track record for growth and innovation is a must.

The Vice President is responsible for the vision, strategy, growth, execution, and talent management for the portfolio. The VP must be able to forecast, monitor, and meet annual business plan financials and operational objectives with a focused effort on driving growth that aligns with the broader organization strategic plans. The successful individual must initiative and participate account strategy development, guide business development and capture activities, maintain financial controls for the organization, and create an environment conducive to staff development and professional growth. The VP is expected to exercise sound judgment within broadly defined SAIC guidelines and policies.

Travel may be up to 50% of the time

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Identifying, managing and nurturing top-level client and potential client relationships and conducting program-level client assessments
  • Leading and managing Program Managers
  • Provide oversight to managed programs in portfolio and inspiring and driving on contract growth
  • Identifying, planning, executing, and supervising business development strategies and directing multiple simultaneous capture efforts
  • Developing and executing annual and quarterly financial plans
  • Meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives to drive top-line and bottom-line growth
  • Maintaining prescribed financial controls and assuring the integrity of financial matters
  • Leading efforts where the scope and complexity of responsibilities require the integration of multiple disciplines and functions
  • Coordinating efforts with supporting organizations including contracts, procurement, project control, finance, and human resources
  • Regular interaction across all levels of management
  • Interactions may involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level managers that result in the best business outcomes
  • Creating and maintaining a collaborative environment conducive to the professional growth and development of the team and the free flow of information throughout the entire organization
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors with eighteen (15) years of experience; additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. Master's Degree Preferred in an Engineering discipline.
Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering, IT and services business across the DoD.
  • Experience with contracting in commercial terms and markets a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive industry programmatic experience successfully managing portfolios of federal government business in excess of $50 million in annual revenue and 2 + years in a portfolio leadership role overseeing Navy programs
  • Demonstrated technical and program management experience leading large government contracts in excess of 100M TCV and portfolios at a senior level; experience with FFP management is a must
  • Demonstrated experience in driving profitable growth across large and complex programs and portfolios
  • Ability to represent SAIC well to target customers and develop new and profitable relationships with customers of various tenures
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong ability in financial management (to include experience with EVM practices), organizational change and strategic leadership for an organization of a hundred or more employees
  • Measurable track record of success identifying, qualifying, and winning large captures
  • Demonstrated Innovations that make lasting impacts to defense missions
  • Significant and relevant customer relationships across the Department of Navy and Naval Aviation or Surface in particular
  • Deep understanding of Federal contracting practices
  • Substantial Knowledge and application of rapid Acquisition models
  • Possess a current PMP
  • Willing to travel (10-15% may be required)

Required Clearance:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.
Target salary range: $240,001 - $280,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
