Vice President, Real Estate and Workplace Experience

The Vice President of Real Estate and Workplace Experience will develop and execute a global real estate and workplace services strategy, program, and processes, while leading a team of real estate and workplace professionals. This role is responsible for the growth, strategy, and operations of Rapid7's worldwide offices and work locations, focused on supporting the productivity of our employees and customers worldwide. This role reports directly to the Chief Information and Business Transformation Officer.

About the Role

  • Manage the company's real estate and workplace services portfolios to ensure sufficient occupant capacity, employee productivity and culture, while minimizing company expenses and liabilities.
  • Manage a team of experienced real estate and workplace services professionals across different corporate real estate functions to deliver services globally.
  • Collaborate with key leaders to ensure the real estate portfolio is aligned with the company's overall strategy in all aspects of workforce planning, site selection, acquisition, and disposition.
  • Deliver workplace services, upholding a consistently high standard of customer service worldwide, in alignment with the culture of Rapid7. Drive this strategy with purpose and intensity
  • Effectively oversee the execution of real estate transactions (leasing and/or purchase or sale) in the company's real estate portfolio using negotiating skills, appropriate vendors (e.g., brokers, legal support, lease administration, utility, other services), asset management, and financial analysis techniques
  • Establish standardized and integrated policies, processes, controls, and procedures across all corporate real estate and workplace services functions.
  • Work with Security and IT to establish and evolve physical security, construction and maintenance standards and drive projects that help manage Rapid7's growth


The skills you'll bring include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Architecture or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in culture-focused strategic leadership roles, including global leadership experience
  • Experience driving workplace strategy as a key component of company culture, utilizing a multi-lens approach, HR, Marketing, and leadership
  • Knowledge of general construction project management and engineering in a global setting, including NA, EMEA, and APAC
  • Demonstrated business strategy and planning experience
  • Proven track record of managing a global budget and team, solid business relationship management, and vendor management skills. Good risk assessment and judgment ability
  • Global travel is required for this position
  • This is a hybrid role with an expectation of being in the office a minimum of 3x per week
