BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF JOB

An entry-level position providing hands-on experience in collegiate summer baseball. Join the St. Cloud Rox for the summer to gain a behind-the-scenes experience like no other. You'll learn the ins and outs of a sport organization within the Northwoods League.The St. Cloud Rox are an industry leader in fan support, community engagement, staff development, along with consistently creating a ballpark environment that is incredibly entertaining and fun for fans and staff. Many former Rox interns have landed a fulltime job with major and minor league sports organizations.

Interns will support specific departments throughout the season. The position will include event day duties and some non-game day events as well. The ideal candidate is a strong energetic communicator with the ability to work in a team environment, have an eagerness to learn, and possess the flexibility to adapt to what each day brings with a positive attitude.

This position starts in mid/late May and lasts through mid-August.

Reports to: Creative Media Director

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in the creation of video, written and graphic content for use on the Rox digital and social platforms.
  • Produces and edits videos during and after each game or home series highlighting the excitement, one-of-a-kind atmosphere and fun around the ballpark each night, from the packed crowd, fans cheering and entering the stadium, game action, post-game fireworks, promotional nights, etc.
  • Creates and edits of short-form videos, longer-form videos, and live social media videos, which on occasion includes taking video of the Rox play-by-play host interviewing players, coaches, corporate partners, etc.
  • Creates stories throughout the season of Rox community events, player features, promotions, and numerous other topics.
  • Assists with graphic creation and other digital marketing content throughout the summer for use on the team website and social media platforms.
  • Works with broadcast team to capture and edit additional footage of game action that can be used for promotional and marketing purposes.
  • Archives videos throughout the season
  • Additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Have an enthusiastic, positive attitude and provide a strong effort to succeed
  • Comfortable interacting in front of large crowds
  • Knowledge of video editing software
  • Ability to work under a deadline
  • Video production experience with strong editing skills
  • Strong creativity skills (To create one of kind Rox videos, out-of-the-box thinking)
  • Minimum one year of experience in videography
  • Ability to move throughout the ballpark quickly
  • Must be available for all Rox home games and have ability to work extended hours including weeknights and weekends
  • Knowledge of the game of baseball
  • Effective written and verbal communication
