The Saint-Gobain North America Business Communications team is looking for a communications specialist to help support internal communications through writing, editing, and supporting key initiatives of the department. The communications specialist will gain hands-on internal communications experience by improving the use and effectiveness of key channels used by employees, including the intranet portal, newsletters, mobile app and other designated communication channels as assigned.

📢 You will assist in the writing and preparation of articles for internal employee communication news and will execute other tasks and assignments guided by managers of the department.

🎯 The main role
  • Support internal communications team to organize and update documents in the company intranet portal.
  • Support content team to draft, write, edit, collect photography and photo release forms, prepare images for articles and other activities as assigned.
  • Help organize employee events and other operational activities of the department as directed.
  • Coordinate translation of content as needed.
  • Document staff meeting minutes, key actions and outcomes.
  • Participate in project planning meetings and complete tasks as assigned by the team.
  • Assist the communications team in other activities as needed to support the facilitation of internal employee communications.

You can be exactly what we're looking for! Apply today if you have:
  • Master's degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
  • 1+ years' experience in communications, manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PPT, Excel.
  • Working knowledge of MS Teams/Zoom.
  • Familiarity with publishing platforms (Poppulo, Sharepoint) and design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva) a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and organizational skills.
  • Team oriented and results focused.

You will join the Internal Communication team composed of 7 people. You will be working under the supervision of James, our Internal Communication Senior Manager.

  • Once you apply, you receive a direct e-mail (Response sent by TA France)
  • If we want to move forward with you, you will have a first interview with our HR Talent Acquisition Team in France (on Teams)
  • Then two virtual interviews will be held.
    • The first with Sr. Manager, Internal Communications to provide more context on the role.
    • The second interview will be held with the Sr. Manager, Internal Communications, and the Senior Director of Communications for further questions on what you would bring to the role.
  • If you are selected, you will receive confirmation by email and have an Onboarding Day at the Tour Saint-Gobain in Paris before your departure.
