Summary: The Department of Management at New Mexico State University is seeking qualified candidates to fill a 12 month, non-tenure track-faculty Professor of Practice in the area of Strategy and Entrepreneurship. The position is fully remote and does not require residence in New Mexico. The position will start January 9, 2025. Position is renewable on an annual basis.
Classification Summary:The Department of Management at New Mexico State University is seeking qualified candidates to fill a 12 month, non-tenure track-faculty Professor of Practice in the area of Strategy and Entrepreneurship. The position is fully remote and does not require residence in New Mexico. The position will start January 9, 2025. Position is renewable on an annual basis.
Classification Standard Duties:The position carries a course load of 12 credit hours per semester, with 6.0 credit hours in the summer. A combination of online course delivery (asynchronous and synchronous) is expected. The successful candidate will have responsibilities in teaching and advising students enrolled in the NMSU Global campus. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to an educational environment that supports learning for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
Candidates for this position are required to hold a Bachelors in a Business-related discipline, and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or related field to Strategy and Entrepreneurship from an AACSB International accredited business school. Candidates must have at least five years of relevant professional experience. A PhD in Management or closely related field is desired

The candidate should be able to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in areas related to Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and related subjects. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of effective teaching at the college level.
