Vital Records Registrar - Health Information (Days)

Responsible to ensure all applicable birth certificate, paternity acknowledgements, pronouncement of death documentation, birth defect registry, death certificate certifier, monthly death reporting for organ donation organizations, and any other state vital record documentation required is generated, communicated, reconciled, and submitted according to state regulations.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

Licenses and Certifications

*NONE REQUIRED

Qualifications

*RHIA, RHIT or related experience preferred.

*Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills.

*Knowledge of medical terminology.

*Ability to use various computer software programs in include an electronic medical record.

*Very detail oriented.

*Prefer experience in health information system software.
