JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President, Advanced Technology will be a key leader in Charter's Emerging Technology Group. This position will drive the definition, development, commercialization, and scaling of Network as a Platform (NaaP) Services. The role will help chart future growth and revenue opportunities for Charter and the industry. This position will be a key architect in helping the company understand how to innovate faster and increase the velocity of technology commercialization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, meritocracy, ownership, learning and risk-taking.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish the Network as a Platform (NaaP) strategy and commercialization plan for Charter and the industry.
  • Define, deploy and manage processes associated with the definition, development and support of network APIs with external developers from evaluation through launch and long-term support.
  • Evangelize the NaaP solution with internal stakeholders and external partners to inspire the development of innovative services and applications through developers.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal and external engineering teams in the development, deployment, and commercialization of the NaaP services.
  • Drive the implementation of scalable and high-performance solutions to ensure reliable operation and support for developers.
  • Lead the development of tools, documentation, SDKs and processes for external developers to simplify the creation, launch and management of their applications and services on NaaP APIs.

Required Education
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Experience in a Product Engineering role related to platform development, commercialization, and scaling (e.g., iOS, Android, Vonage, AWS, others) - 10+
Technology management experience working with the top MSOs, Telco, and/or satellite operators in the U.S. - 10+
Management experience - 7+

The pay for this position has a salary range of $195,200.00 to $325,400.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
