The Vice President, Business Integration oversees business unit and/or department strategic business objectives and integration initiatives from planning to successful execution. Leverages strategic insight and collaborates with executives and senior leadership to address and resolve systemic issues across the business unit. Coordinates and drives strategic engagement, including with the enterprise, the board and external stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes and executes daily operations of the of the Executive Office, including Board management.
  • Establishes strategic direction, builds and develops organizational talent, empowers and oversees people management of the Executive Office's team through visionary leadership.
  • Mobilizes resources, collaborates, develops and leverages strategic relationships across the enterprise, including external organizations, to support Business Unit's and cross-enterprise initiatives.
  • Collaborates with and provides executives and senior leadership strategic support in decision-making, program management, project updates, proposals, planning and successful implementation of key initiatives.
  • Serves as a liaison with staff, executives, and senior leadership regarding organizational structure, change management and employee well-being.
  • Designs, reviews and executes improvements in business unit to enhance organizational, operational and technological structure/processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit/social sector
  • Communication, organization, and management skills
  • Experience working with senior executives
  • Experience working on external partnerships/stakeholder relationships
  • Expertise in aging and/or income inequality and economic justice preferred
  • Proven track record of identifying and addressing organizational challenges and building functional teams

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
