Description: Job Summary:

TheVicePresident,ContinuumofCareforKaiserFoundationHospitalandHealthPlan(KFHP/H)hasresponsibilityforensuringqualitycareandappropriateservicesareprovidedtoGAmembersexperiencingcontinuingcareservicesandhospitalcare.Inaddition,thisposition,inpartnershipwithseveralleadersacrosstheregionsisresponsibletodevelopandimplementthevisionforcareacrossthecontinuumandtocreatesystematicopportunitiesforKPtocontinuetodevelopandleadasacommunityhealthsystem.Thispositiondeploysmeasurementsystems,operationalprocesses,goalsandinvestmentsto effectivelyimprove the performance ofthe region.Effectivelycollaborates with the servicearealeaders,TSPMG,ProgramOfficestaff,otherregionswithinKP,andlaborpartnerstoimprovethequalityofcareandservicethatweprovidetoourmembersandourcommunities.Thispositionalsohasadministrative,operational,financial,regulatory,andplanningaccountabilityforcontinuingcareservicesinGAincludingHomeHealth,Hospice,PalliativeCare,RehabServices,Dialysis/ESRD,EPRP,SNF,OutsideMedicalServicesandReferrals,DME,andUtilizationManagement. Thispositionwillprovideregionaloversightandmonitoringoftheplanningandimplementationofcontinuumandcommunitycapacitymanagementandstrategicresourceplanning.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Developsand implementsaregional hospital strategyto improve ourquality,service,accessandaffordabilitymission.
  • Provide executive level leadership, strategicdirection andrecommendationsoverareasofaccountability
  • Identifyandimplementactionsin areasof accountabilityto improve quality,service, financialperformanceandcontractual compliance
  • Supportsthestructureand processesto develop, implementandassure successofall areasrelated tothe ContinuumofCare.
  • Directsotheractivities asassignedthat improve careto our membersandthe communities we serve
  • Ensuring thatKaiser Permanente(KP) ispositioned tomaintainongoing regulatorycompliance acrossthe continuumofcare,includingNCQAaccreditation,Medicare5 Starcompliance,DPH and CMS caredelivery compliance
  • Developsand monitors the payroll,non -payroll, and capital budgetsandexpendituresforassignedareas
  • Matchingcontinuingcare bed demand, availability,andstaffing, to includesupportand MDs;identifyingfuture demand by levelsofcare; including communityresourcecapacity.
  • Utilization Management: Developingplansand agreementswith CoreandNon-CoreHospitalsandTSPMGtoensurerequired bed demand isavailable and efficientlyresourced acrossthe continuumandtheGAregion.
  • Championsand implementscare delivery innovationstoachieveorganizational goals.
  • Explorescritical issuesrelated totheContinuum ofCareand Carefor specificpopulations;suchascomplexneedspatients.
  • In partnership withkeyconstituents, developsand implements thefuturevision forcareacrossthecontinuum and asacommunityhealth system.
Basic Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a high-level administrative capacity with accountabilities in the following areas: hospital operations, administrative clinical management, and KFH/HP/PMG partnering.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, business or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree strongly preferred.
