VP of Accounting and Finance Requirements:
  • 15-20+ years of accounting experience, with at least 8+ years in leadership roles within a publicly traded company
  • Minimum of 2 years'experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically with gross to net revenue accounting
  • Demonstrated experience leading an accounting department with strong SEC, US GAAP reporting, and technical acumen
  • Proven track record as a Controller or similar capacity, ready to step up to a VP level
  • Excellent skills in Excel (index match, pivot tables, VLOOKUP;macros not required)
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems
  • Previous experience in smaller, revenue-driven pharma companies is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of being both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor is preferred

VP of Accounting and Finance Responsibilities:
  • Manage all finance and accounting operations, including internal controls, financial reporting, and accounting policies
  • Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities, with financial statements prepared in compliance with US GAAP
  • Act as the main liaison with internal and external auditors for audits, reviews, and tax return preparations
  • Drive the budget and quarterly reforecast process, performing analytical reviews to assist the company in achieving budget objectives
  • Oversee technical accounting projects, including the preparation of whitepapers and updating accounting policies
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls as required by Sarbanes-Oxley to enhance financial integrity
  • Report directly to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information and lead in the preparation of Audit Committee meetings
  • Lead the accounting team to deliver superior service and align departmental priorities with corporate objectives
  • Manage sophisticated ERP systems, and continuously improve financial systems and processes to support business growth
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to understand business needs and create distinctive value
