We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a VP S ystem Supply Chain Operations position for AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL .

GENERAL SUMMARY :

Reporting to the SVP System Supply Chain , the corporate Vice President (VP) of System Supply Chain Operations leads supply chain operations for both acute and non-acute space. This role is responsible for ensuring a consistent approach on executing and aligning cost effective supply chain operation strategies across the organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage all operational functions of supply chain operations throughout the organization including all supply chain executive directors, regional directors and non - acute leaders throughout the system. This role will engage with key market executives to strengthen the relationships among supply chain operations, clinical operations and finance ensuring a consistent alignment on SC operations across AdventHealth . The role will look to ensure a system-wide approach for all supply chain operations and how service is provided consistently at all sites.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Leads, evaluates and develops a system-wide approach for end-to-end supply chain integration that delivers customer service and proactively communicates with key market leaders to build credibility and foster relationships.


  • Work s closely with the SVP, System Supply Chain to communicate internally throughout the system on major supply chain initiatives , and externally with strategic partners to further build and develop partnerships.


  • Ensures the consistency and evolution of a supply chain operations vision, strategic plan and annual operating plan to include inventory management, direct and indirect material purchasing , and capital.


  • Work s with the Value Analysis leader and team to support and continue to evolve a system -wide processes that manage product conversions, standardization and utilization projects. Ensure s that developed processes improve supply utilization , contract compliance, and maximize integration, and standardization of products.


  • Partner s with the various leaders and groups across A dvent H ealth around all areas of cost control including IT, General and Administrative and equipment purchases.


  • Partners with the VP of Design and Construction to ensure Supply Chain operations has consistent standards that align with future projects for docks, hospital warehouse and supply rooms.


  • Review s performance of strategic initiatives by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics, advancing solutions as they become available.


  • Streamlines supply chain operation processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency and inventory at the hospital and non-acute sites.


  • Coordinate s with Supply Chain executives to set strategic goals and determine operational activities to accomplish business objectives .


  • Accountable for assuring compliance and providing evidence of performance with DNV, Joint Commi s sion and other regulatory requirements for supply management are met at the facilities the position oversee .


  • Establishes professional, effective relationships with physicians, clinicians and senior leadership across the system .


  • Develops and execute aligned strategies in support of the largest area of (non-labor) expense for the hospital network - medical, surgical and clinical supplies,


  • Promote s , act s and collaborate s as a unified leadership team to drive culture.


  • Evaluates and modifies effective quality improvement initiatives and appropriate metrics to drive correct behavior and affect results.


  • Provides leadership in workforce planning , employment decisions, talent development, recruiting platforms and retention programs .


  • Mentor s and coach es staff to ensure that departmental objectives are met with regard to best practices and customer service.


  • Assures a complete succession plan for rollup up to and including own position. Actively mentors others into the leadership role .


Qualifications
EDUCATION , EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor's d egree in Finance , Economics, Engineering, and/or Supply Chain .


  • 8 years of experience in procurement management and inventory control in healthcare or medical device industry.


  • 5 years of leadership experience within healthcare or medical device industry.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE PREFERRED :

  • Master's d egree in business or related field
