How You'll Perform the Role


This position is responsible for accounting for all plant/business transactions, review of balance sheet analysis and balance sheet and cash flow forecasting. Will partner with and work directly with the business General manager, VP of Finance and Commercial and Operational leads to support business financial analysis and accounting, costing and cash forecasting.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
  • Review all month-end close activities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and inventory costing reviews
  • Coordinate monthly cash flow forecasting process and annual balance sheet and SG&A expense annual operating plans
  • Ensure physical inventories and monthly cycle counting process is being completed and results reviewed. Oversee any updates to standard costs and cost rolls
  • Oversee accounting practices related to payables, receivables, inventories, fixed assets, payroll, leases and accruals/reserves
  • Maintain and enhance financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
  • Serve as a key point of contact for auditors, manage preparation and support for all internal and external audits
  • Partner with FP&A and operations to review and analyze business performance and trends and monthly reporting packages. Understand and be able to explain clearly the monthly financial results
  • Manage the Accounting teams in the U.S. and Canada (Montreal and Brampton). Provide personal development and advice to the team
  • Ensure all accounting policies are followed and internal controls are in place and adhered to
  • Assist with special projects and analysis as needed working with the General Manager, VP of Finance, Corporate and others
  • Travel - 5 - 10%


What We Need From You

  • 8+ years experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
  • Results driven, analytical, self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to logically identify solutions or approaches to complex problems.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
