Warehouse Associate \/ Forklift Operator

M-F 8am-4:30pm, no OT or weekend work. Forklift certification preferred. No driving. Candidate will need to be comfortable with using a Wave lift (will be trained) up to 10-15 feet. Will be using a pallet jack but the manager will train on that as well. Need to be lift up to 60 pounds but there will be equipment to lift heavier objects. Need to be okay with standing, bending for long periods of time. Steeled toed boots, long pants. Manager will provide gloves and other items if needed.


JobDescription: The mainfunction of a warehouse associate is to receive, store and issue materials,equipment and other items from stockroom, warehouse or storage yard.

JobResponsibilities:

•        Receiveand count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.

•        Packand unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storageyards.

•        Verifyinventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, andinvestigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

•        Storeitems in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supplyrooms, or other areas.

•        Markstock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or otherlabeling equipment.

•        Cleanand maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensurecompliance with safety regulations.

•        Keeprecords on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

•        Examineand inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage tosupervisors.

•        Provideassistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

Skills:

•        Knowledgeof relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promoteeffective local, state, or national security operations for the protection ofpeople, data, property, and institutions.

Education/Experience:

•        Highschool diploma or GED required.

•        0-2years experience required.
