Mission

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for handling deliveries, pick-ups and shipping of parts and other receivables while engaging in warehouse operations. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the daily administration of the inventory control process. The Warehouse Clerk works 40 hours per week on various shifts with two consecutive days off. Work assignment will require flexible hours including early morning, late night, holidays & weekends.

Profile

Description
  • Stock all parts and receivables in the appropriate warehouse sections
  • Conduct price and quality surveys
  • Provide counter service
  • Maintain a clean and orderly inventory room
  • Maintain files and records, providing reports as necessary
  • Order non-stock parts for repair orders
  • Monitor re-order levels and replenish inventory to maintain proper inventory levels
  • Handle deliveries, pick-ups and shipping
  • Perform daily check of consumable inventory
  • Assist with inventory audits
  • Ensure proper and safe storage and disposal of fuels, lubricants and all hazardous materials
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse inventory area
  • Issue parts to maintenance technicians according to work order specifications
  • Maintain record keeping systems for material inventories
  • Process required forms and reports
  • Maintain, support and promote a safe work environment while complying with all safety rules, policies and procedures


Job Requirements
  • Experience in an automated warehouse or inventory control environment desirable
  • Inventory control experience is preferred
  • Valid Class C Driver's License Required
  • Methods, materials, equipment and safety procedures utilized in the maintenance and repair of AC/DC
  • Preferred knowledge of Theories, principles and practices of warehousing, distribution inventory of material, handling and storage of hazardous or construction material and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Abide by Applicable local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations governing environmental concerns
  • Hazardous waste handling and storage in a public agency.
  • Automated and manual material handling systems
  • Communicated effectively orally and in writing
  • Interact professionally with various levels of employees and outside representatives
  • Operate computers and general office equipment
  • Analyze situations, identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Exercise judgment in making decisions
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical training preferred
  • Previous vehicle parts room and inventory experience required
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Forklift license (preferred) or ability to obtain one
  • Computer experience and well versed with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
