Job Responsibilities

Yarde Metals is looking for a branch warehouse associate to join our Operations Team in North Canton, OH. A Branch Warehouse associate performs various warehouse operations duties in accordance to safety and quality procedures.

• Retrieve material from inventory according to work instructions.
• Verify accuracy of material retrieved by measuring and comparing product information on tag to work order.
• Construct skids and use shipping supplies to properly wrap and prepare product for delivery using tape measures, banding equipment, and nail guns.
• Tag material, verify product against work order, and perform last piece visual inspection.
• Safely load and unload material from trucks using cranes, forklifts, and side loaders.
• Inspect inbound material using measuring tape measures and calipers.
• Record and report material discrepancies.
• Locate material into inventory racking system.
• Prepare orders for shipment via common carriers, UPS, and customer pick-up.
• Expedite orders and process received and shipped material in system.
• Print material certifications and shipping tickets.
• Continually inspect materials and report material defects.

Requirements & Qualifications

***This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery.***

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• History of working safely and productively at all times.
• Warehouse, material handling, and forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English in order to carry out work instructions.
• Team-oriented and dependable.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of position.
