Overview

The Warehouse & Inventory Associate is responsible for the effective management and running of venue distribution/warehouse operations including inventory, receiving, purchase order tracking, clean-up, transfers and warehouse equipment maintenance. The Warehouse & Inventory Associate must provide a high level of oversight, technical proficiency and operational/personnel support to ensure the smooth running of the food and beverage operation.

This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self- direction and strong management and independent decision-making skills are required.

The Warehouse & Inventory Associate works independently; however dependent upon the demands of the business, maybe required to supervise fellow warehouse employees and/or interns with a positive and cooperative mindset creating a harmonious work environment.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $17 to $22.

Responsibilities

Warehouse & Logistics
• Receiving, distribution and control of food, beverages, equipment and supplies for the food & beverage operation.
• Insure all products are properly stored and rotated FIFO.
• Manage inventory to insure efficiency in ordering and management of items on hand.
• Reduce / eliminate obsolete inventory.
• Establish PAR inventory levels for key items.
• Maintain spoilage reports for out of date or spoiled items.
• Develop blueprints for optimized storage across all F&B storage spaces.
• Assist in optimizing new inventory travel paths for Culinary and FOH to decrease waste.
• Oversee and ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each event; rotate and maintain integrity of product.
• Ensure proper transfer process of product between locations, to include documentation of transfer.
• Maintain and manage sanitation and organizational systems of all food & beverage storage areas to include warehouse areas, concessions, kitchen, kitchenettes and pantries.
• Conduct walk through of the commissary, warehouse and storage areas after the
completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean & organized

Inventory
• Responsible for updating inventory guide with correct items, prices and inventory levels.
• Lead monthly inventory process, working with department heads to insure they are completing their inventories accurately, with correct corporate processes and in the
timely manner.
• Line by line review inventory sheets submitted by departments to insure accuracy.
• Audit (recount) at least 15 inventory items each period. Minimum recounts to include 5 from culinary, 5 from front of house supplies, 5 alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain perpetual inventory of at least 10 items, to be assigned by management

Sustainability
• Lead Sustainability initiative for food & beverage operation.
• Identifying, coordinating and facilitating Sustainability initiatives that promote local environmental, energy, economic, and social sustainability within the F&B department.
• Assist in training all F&B staff and creating a "buy-in" culture for our sustainability programs and efforts.

Administrative
• Responsible for ensuring that the Purchase Orders & Order Logs are completed and filed as directed.
• Assist the Office Manager with invoices, POs, etc as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Willing and available to assist with Catering or Concessions event operations as directed by management team.

Qualifications
  • Physical Demands
    Performing the duties of this position involves extensive and continuous standing and walking.
  • Routine activities require the employee to be able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds, operate pallet jack and drive a fork lift.
  • The vision requirements include the ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision and close vision.

    Qualifications
    High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer Skills to include EXCEL
  • Strong Mathmatics
  • Minimum 2 years foodservice experience
  • Warehouse experience is a plus
  • Forklift certification, or willingness to become certified.
  • Serve Safe food service certification
