The Warehouse Lead has the overall responsibility and authority over ensuring that instructions are carried out as directed by the Warehouse Foreman or Warehouse Manager. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Foreman.

How You'll Perform the Role
The Warehouse Lead has the overall responsibility and authority over ensuring that instructions are carried out as directed by the Warehouse Foreman or Warehouse Manager. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Foreman.
- Follow all safety guidelines as applicable to position.
- Forklift, scissor-lift, and pallet jack certification must be maintained. Driver must certify every 2 years and trainer every 4 years.
- Supervise three employees, including assigning duties, coaching team members, progressive discipline when necessary, and writing annual reviews.
- Completely hands-on with approximately 5-6 hours a day on the floor.
- Train new personnel in shipping and receiving procedures.
- Pull orders and load trucks with 100% accuracy. Provide all proper documentation to Traffic Coordinator for final order processing. Prepare shipping documents for each shipment as applicable.
- Receive purchased materials and complete paperwork.
- Ensure all shipments are on time and picked up by carriers on a daily basis.
- Ensure all finished goods are cycle counted on a daily basis with accuracy and report major discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
- Organize warehouse properly, rotating stock in FIFO pattern.
- Good attendance and punctuality required.
- General housekeeping / Audit Preparation.
- Must be computer literate with the ability to use workstations, hand held RF scanners, fax, email, copiers and printers.
- Must have good communication and writing skills in composing emails and responses.
- Proficient in ERP, FedEx and UPS computer systems to complete assigned tasks.
- Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures, food safety requirements, safety standards and government laws.
- Miscellaneous other duties as directed by the Warehouse Foreman or Warehouse Manager.
What We Need From You
- Minimum of a high school education required, certification &/or associate degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience driving a forklift required
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Normal Dexterity Required.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 35 lbs. as necessary.
- Ability to work well in a team environment & motivate others within the team.
- Bilingual a plus.
