Job Overview

Schedule: Monday - Friday (4:30 p.m. - 2 a.m. or completion of the Workload.) Weekends will be based on the needs of the business

Location: Hanover, MD Coca-Cola Facility

The Manager DC Warehouse I is responsible for leading a warehouse with annual volume up to 6.0M cases. This entails leading, developing, and executing warehouse functions in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment. These functions include but are not limited to safety and security, inbound and outbound management, labor management and talent development, facility and equipment maintenance, and inventory management. The Manager DC Warehouse I is also responsible for the management of the entire facility and its assets. In addition, the Manager DC Warehouse I is responsible for Regulatory Compliance such as OSHA/FDA and others. In certain instances, the Manager DC Warehouse I position may also be used in larger facilities to manage a shift consisting of +25 teammates.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching and training; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership.
  • Performs proactive and in-depth evaluation and acts upon the results of key performance indicators such as safety performance, cost per case, inventory shrink percentage, and cases per man hour while continually assessing logistics processes to identify and implement productivity improvements and cost-saving programs and ensuring the delivery of the financial operating plan.
  • Leads the budgeting and workforce management activities as well as the execution of all logistics functions including, but not limited to, safety and security, inbound and outbound management, labor management, talent development, facility and equipment maintenance, and customer service.
  • Initiates cross-functional collaboration by conducting a regular cadence of meetings and intentional interaction with business partners in Franchise Operations, Supply Chain Operations, Safety/Risk, Human Resources, Employee Relations, etc.
  • Supports sales through daily observation of inventory levels to ensure product is available when needed. Ensures regular coordination with supply chain analysts to reduce the likelihood of out of stocks while also minimizing inventory days on hand.
  • Maintains the value of company assets through the proactive administration and prioritization of repairs and upgrades. Manages entirety of facility regarding its security, appearance, and operative functions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 5 to 7 years work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering
