Position Overview

As a Warehouse Specialist, the general role is to maintain and organize the flow and inventory materials into and out of the Morgantown Shop. This includes loading and unloading delivery trucks, along with maintaining a systematic flow of materials to support continuous production. This position will also serve as support to all departments and assist with the timely receiving and inventory of customer provided materials, as well as kitting/staging materials for crews as needed.

This individual must possess a general understanding of inventory and warehouse processes. This position will require a flexible schedule which may include occasional travel, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in a variety of work that may include but not be limited to: assembly, inventory control, loading job trailers/organizing job shelves, and general labor
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Locate equipment and materials and move to required inventory areas as needed
  • Transport and deliver equipment, materials, and vehicles as required, to include transportation to other regional divisions
  • Stage or kit materials for production teams to increase production
  • Perform rigging, lifting, and transporting materials in accordance with company safety standards
  • Gather and coordinate project information to include schedules, data requests, permits, regulatory requirements, personnel requirements, equipment, supplies, assignments, tasks, project meetings, etc.
  • Work with project teams to understand and assist with tracking all project tasks and assignments
  • Assist with development of a comprehensive project workflow process for projects
  • Maintain document control, database management, and team communication
  • Provide detailed paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping, billing, and inventory
  • Perform general building maintenance as needed such as shoveling, pulling weeds, taking out trash, stock safety glasses, etc.
Working Conditions
  • Walk / use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel
  • Sit/stand for extended periods of time
  • Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Perform duties in shop and yard settings
What You'll Bring
  • Certified or willing to be certified in the operation of forklifts, telehandlers, manlifts and yard trucks
  • Possess a working knowledge of, or be willing to learn wireless communications products and services to include knowledge of materials, methods, equipment, and tools involved in the installation, repair, and maintenance of communication systems and components
  • Valid Driver's License required (Non CDL)
  • Knowledge of materials planning, scheduling, receiving, shipping and tracking systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of processes and procedures related to receiving, shipping and inventory control
  • Must be able to utilize common hand tools and power tools
  • Possess general knowledge of construction
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
  • Possess general knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and lay-out drawings
  • Ability to develop a bill of materials
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and maintain a high level of customer service and to represent Pillar Innovations in a professional, competent and courteous manner
