Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Professional Engineer to serve our water/wastewater utility, commercial, municipal, and industrial clients from our Ashland, Virginia Office.
  • Location is flexible within the VA, MD, or NC area

The ideal candidate will have a combination of education and experience in Water Resources/Environmental engineering including:
  • Water and wastewater systems engineering
  • Project management of water/wastewater design/build projects (all phases)

Key Resonsibilities
  • Simultaneously managing multiple water and wastewater system design projects
  • Providing technical lead for water and wastewater system upgrades, rehabilitation, and repairs
  • Developing technical proposals for water and wastewater system projects including scoping, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Specifications and bid package development as well as other bid-phase services
  • Construction management and oversight
  • Supervising and mentoring junior-level (EIT) engineering staff

Proficiency using AutoCAD/Civil 3D/ArcGIS to prepare site designs and construction plan sets is desired, as well as experience with hydrologic/hydraulic models. Experience with client/project management and on-call services contracts is a plus.

  • Experience in project and task management and budgeting
  • Experience in design and construction oversight

Education and Experience
  • B.S. Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Environmental Engineering/Water Resources Consulting
  • P.E. license required
