HDR is looking for a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Water Business Group in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater evaluation, analysis, design, and construction. They will be responsible for assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases. Project types could include water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure projects. Additional duties could include technical investigation and analysis of various detailed studies and preparing reports relating water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and conveyance infrastructure and processes. They will support and advise project managers and technical staff in other disciplines and sections, complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants, support senior staff to maintain project schedules and budgets, and produce documents in accordance with project scopes and quality program procedures. In supporting the delivery of projects, they will engage in regular contact with clients regarding ongoing projects and tasks while also managing and leading specific tasks under the direction of sensor staff. Occasional field construction observation and coordination may also be required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
• PE license
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in water/wastewater treatment, distribution, and conveyance design
• Microsoft Office Suite experience is required
• Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills, and ability to thrive in a team environment
• Very strong skills in preparing client presentations, project memoranda and reports
• Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related discipline preferred
• Georgia PE license, or ability to obtain via reciprocity, desired
• Local candidates are preferred
