Primary Responsibilities

• In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:
• Work as a team member for detailed design and design services during construction for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and collection/distribution systems.
• Tasks will include: process design and hydraulic calculations, preparation of design drawings, technical specifications, equipment selection, cost estimation, and procurement of permits.
• Lead projects through concept, planning, design, and construction, with project management skills and direct interaction with clients.

Specific responsibilities also include

• Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
• Function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects as needed
• Directing various discipline design and sub-consultant team members
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. or related engineering field
• Experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
• PE is required.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office, MS Project, and working knowledge of ACAD and REVIT are required; Primavera P6 is a plus
• Experience with delivering NYCDEP design projects, including permitting through City Agencies such as NYCDOB, NYSSBS and FDNY is strongly preferred.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Candidates who reside locally in the metro NY/NJ area are preferred. Target location for the position is Woodcliff Lake, NJ. However, will also consider White Plains of Manhattan.

Typical starting pay range for this position is $89,163 - $127,375 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
