About this Role:
Are you a creative thinker passionate about web development, user experience, digital accessibility, and workflows? If you answered yes, then the Department of Health Care Services' (DHCS) Office of Communications' (OC) Web Team Manager position may be right for you. Join a team dedicated to communicating and delivering important health care information to Californians and play a vital role in shaping DHCS' online presence, ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and effectiveness of our websites.
The Staff Services Manager (SSM) I works with the SSM II to manage the Department's website, focusing on keeping content fresh and correct. They incorporate good design and user experience (UX) practices to make the site accessible and easy to use, following guidelines and laws. The SSM I leads the Web Team, answers questions about the site, studies visitor data to understand what works, and suggests updates to make the site better for users.
