Job Description:
The Food and Resource Economics Department, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) is looking for 1-2 creative and motivated undergraduate students interested in web app development- and design. The successful candidates will work with faculty members on developing a web-based metadata tool to create, evaluate, and standardize metadata following certain established standards. The successful candidates will also be helping with integrating content on a statewide project's website.
Expected Salary:
$15.00 per hour/20 hours per week

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:
- Proficient in mainstream web development framework.
- Proficient in Python;
- Hands-on experience with designing and building responsive UI for websites and/or web applications;
- Familiar with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiar with version control
- Flask or Django are preferred
- Strong understanding of metadata concepts and standards;
- Experience with metadata tool development;
