This opportunity is full-time at 36 hours per week, overnight from 7p-7a - Saturday, Sunday & Monday

RN Weekend House Supervisor (7p-7a)

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, coordinates routine scheduling of staff. Coordinates changes to schedule and overtime based on acuity, staffing grid and Chief Nursing Officer's approval. Checks on patients frequently and reports any condition change to the Supervisor. Calls physicians for orders, makes pertinent charting entries, gives ordered medications and treatments, gives comprehensive nursing care plans, does patient teaching and follow-up, makes out reports and requisitions. In absence of Adult Services Director, consults with Chief Nursing Officer for any program decisions requiring immediate action.

Qualifications

Education
  • Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred - BSN
Experience
  • Required - Experience in psychiatric nursing.
  • Preferred - 3 years experience in a psychiactric setting with leadership experience
Certifications/Licensure
  • Current KY RN Licensure
  • CPR
Other Skills
  • Demonstrate accurate physical, mental, emotional and spiritual assessment skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge of Standards of Nursing Practice and Care in all aspects of patient care provided.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and support of the psychotherapeutic based treatment model and ability to utilize knowledge in patient care and therapeutic milieu.
