We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Wildlife Management Consultant within the Division of Wildlife, assigned to Athens County. What you will do...
  • Provide wildlife habitat technical assistance for private landowners, public entities, and Division of Wildlife managed properties
  • Supervise habitat improvement work completed by contractors on Division of Wildlife managed properties
  • Work with partner conservation organizations to implement ODNR, Farm Bill, and other conservation programs
  • Perform public education and outreach efforts (e.g., public speaking, public events, specialized workshops) focusing on wildlife habitat improvement
  • Assist with the implementation of the Ohio Landowner-Hunter Access Partnership (OLHAP) hunting access program
  • Report all work activities and performs wildlife surveys
  • Starting hourly pay of $24.66/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $32.08/hr.

Qualifications

24 mos. exp. in position responsible for wildlife management & conservation activities AND must be able to provide own transportation.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in wildlife management or related field of study AND must be able to provide own transportation.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
