SUMMARY: The Workflow coordinator / Senior Instructional Designer is a strategic leader with a strong technical background in the Oil and Gas/Pipeline industries. This role involves leading high-profile design projects, managing workflows, coordinating projects, and overseeing resourcing and assignments for both core team members and the Flex/Expansion team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead pre-sales conversations, identifying business outcomes, and expanding client discussions beyond immediate learning needs in the Oil and Gas/Pipeline industries.
  • Conduct front-end analysis to assess business needs, identify performance gaps, and define project scopes.
  • Develop project scopes aligned with client objectives, technical requirements, and industry standards.
  • Direct and support Learning Designers, Consultants, and the Flex/Expansion team, ensuring quality and innovation in learning solutions.
  • Manage workflows, project timelines, and resource allocation to ensure effective project execution.
  • Oversee project coordination, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across all teams.
  • Track project progress, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to quality standards and client expectations.
  • Mentor team members, ensuring adherence to project timelines and the production of high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop learning strategies that align with business objectives in regulated and safety-critical environments.
  • Lead analysis and design workshops with clients, crafting solutions that meet industry demands.
  • Develop organizational strategies and end-to-end measurement strategies tailored to technical training in the Oil and Gas/Pipeline industries.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:
  • Extensive experience in learning experience design within the Oil and Gas, Pipeline, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific technologies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage workflows, coordinate projects, and allocate resources in technically demanding environments.
  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities within the Oil and Gas/Pipeline sectors.
  • Knowledge of SCORM, LMSs, Tin Can/xAPI, and advanced learning solutions for technical training.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in technical and safety-critical environments.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Engineering, or a related field, with 8 years of experience in technical fields.
  • Or a degree in another relevant field with 10 years of experience in industrial or technical environments.
  • Or 12 years of experience designing and developing learning materials focused on technical training in the Oil and Gas/Pipeline industries.
