Key job responsibilities

As the Worldwide Specialist SA Leader, you will be responsible for provide thought leadership and technical strategy for Migration and Modernization. You will manage a team of Senior and Principal Solution Architects and will work hand in hand with various AWS service teams to create solutions and iterate on AWS services to improve customer experiences. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience

- 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of enterprise services (Directory Services, Information Assurance, Virtual Desktop, etc.), products (i.e., Oracle, SAP) and frameworks (ITIL, TOGAF, etc.)

- Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO), building close relationships, and closing large revenue accounts.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
